Everyone learns differently, but we all benefit from more time in the field just taking photos. Pick your location (or I’m happy to suggest one) and lets get out there! I can cover any topic you like from the basics of camera functions, settings and how to expose an image, to how to create long exposures and unique compositions.

I’m based in Perth, Western Australia and give lessons anywhere in the greater Perth region. I will also travel to the south-west for an additional travel fee.

Regardless of your proficiency with the camera, editing can be just as important as pressing the shutter. Whether you prefer a more photo-journalistic approach, or are into manipulated, abstract landscapes, I can help you create a post-processing workflow and guide you to the right tools to create the images you want.
SOFTWARE
A lot of editing principles are the same across platforms, however to get the most of out a workshop with me I would recommend Adobe Lightroom Classic CC and Photoshop CC. You can download a free 30-day trial here!

I’ve teamed up with Alfonso’s Photo Tours to offer photo walks around the CBD, Northbridge and Elizabeth Quay in Perth, Western Australia. For the nighttime course we jump on the ferry to South Perth for that classic city skyline shot. Suitable for all skill levels from absolute beginners to visiting pros who just need to be pointed in the right direction while in Perth.
